This journey takes you through the best of China. We spend time in charming Yangshuo, on the Li River, which is surrounded by vibrant green rice fields and towering limestone outcrops. Here we enjoy a bike ride in the countryside and share a meal with a local family. A Yangtze River cruise through the Three Gorges is one of the world's great travel experiences. In Sichuan Province we sample the legendary cuisine, witness elaborate thousand-year-old Buddhist cave art, admire the Giant Buddha at Leshan and enjoy a visit to the giant panda breeding centre to observe this endangered species. China's largest city, vibrant and energetic Shanghai, is home to the historic Bund which reflects a glorious bygone era. Xian and Beijing contain some of the world's most significant historical and archaeological sites the Great Wall, the Forbidden City, Temple of Heaven and Terracotta Warriors are all magnificent highlights of our visit to China.
