AIT BEN HADDOU, MOROCCO
Highlights of Morocco 16 Days
The essence of Morocco lies in its ancient cities, medieval bazaars and high mountain villages, with arid deserts and amazing mud brick towns adding further depth. Throw in the combination of Arab and Berber cultures and a pinch of French colonial style and you have a truly irresistible mix. From Casablanca we travel west to explore the imperial cities of Rabat, Meknes and Fes. Turning south we stop in a small town in the Atlas mountains to enjoy some easy walks, before we reach the edge of the Sahara where we ride camels at sunset and spend a night under the stars. We visit the celebrated Todra and Dades Gorges and greet Berber villagers as we hike the lovely MGoun Valley. We explore kasbahs, fortified villages and the enchanting coastal town of Essaouira. Our trip ends with time, and of course with mint tea, in the magical city of Marrakech.
The scenery, culture and cuisine of Morocco are all showcased on this superb adventure
