This family adventure visits the fascinating Mekong Delta, relaxing beaches, the French-colonial charm of Hanoi and serene Halong Bay
We start our trip in busy, bright and bustling Saigon (Ho Chi Minh City). Ben Thanh Market seems to sell everything under the sun, while the War Remnants Museum provides a sobering reminder of Vietnam's war-ravaged past. A journey down the Mekong by boat takes us to a small island, where we spend the night in a homestay with a local family a real highlight. From the laid-back beach town of Nha Trang, we explore the offshore islands and snorkel amongst the colourful coral and fish in the warm waters of the South China Sea. We ride bicycles around ancient Hoi An and explore the charming northern capital, Hanoi, before heading to Halong Bay, where the rugged limestone pinnacles and grottoes combine to make up one of the world's most recognisable landscapes.

ITINERARY AND HIGHLIGHTS
Day 1 Day 2 Day 3-4 Arrive in Saigon and transfer to hotel. City tour in the morning, free afternoon. Travel to Mekong Delta and explore by boat. Stay overnight on river island. Return to Saigon. Visit Cu Chi Tunnels. Overnight train to Nha Trang. Free day to relax in Nha Trang. Boat cruise and snorkel around Nha Trang's offshore islands. Fly to Danang and travel to Hoi An, visiting Marble Mountain and China Beach. Evening cooking class. Morning tour of ancient Hoi An, free afternoon. Fly to Hanoi. Evening water puppet show. Tour of Hanoi, free afternoon. Travel to Halong Bay and explore by boat. Kayaking and swimming. Overnight on boat. Cruise the bay before returning to Hanoi. Trip ends in Hanoi this morning.
