The stunning Annapurna region is the best area in Nepal for introductory trekking. The trails are good, the walking is relaxed and the surrounding mountainous scenery is breathtaking! Our trek takes us along river valleys, up stone staircases and through rice paddies and rhododendron forests. At Deurali, we take an early morning excursion to view the sunrise over one of the most magnificent panoramas in the country. After our trek, we relax in the charming lakeside town of Pokhara, before heading to Chitwan National Park for a safari adventure! We'll travel in a dugout canoe down the Rapti River and take an elephant-back safari, always keeping a lookout for one-horned rhinoceros, mugger crocodiles, leopards, sloth bears, monkeys and the elusive Royal Bengal tiger.

Fly to Pokhara, travel to start of trek, trek to Syauli. Trek to Ghandruk, superb views of Annapurna. Trek through forest to Tadapani. Trek to Deurali in morning, free afternoon. Spectacular sunset views. Early start for panoramic sunrise views, trek, mainly downhill, to Ulleri. Trek back to roadhead, travel to Pokhara. Free day in Pokhara by the lakeside. Drive to Chitwan, afternoon safari. Explore Chitwan by foot, canoe and elephant back. Early morning safari, drive to Kathmandu. Trip ends in Kathmandu this morning.
