In colourful Nairobi, we check out the fantastic African crafts at the local market, feed giraffes at the Giraffe Centre and spend time with baby elephants at the elephant orphanage. Heading to the Rift Valley lakes, we hope to see the thousands of pink flamingos as they create a riotous pink carpet across the water surface. At Lake Nakuru our game drives take in a vast amount of bird life and hopefully white rhinoceros! At Lake Naivasha we will take an afternoon boatride onto the lake. We'll spend two days in the spectacular grasslands of the Masai Mara watching for plains game wildebeest, zebra and gazelle and their predators lion, hyena, cheetah and the elusive leopard.

ITINERARY AND HIGHLIGHTS
Day 1 Day 2 Day 3 Day 4 (Sun) Arrive in Nairobi and transfer to hotel. Visit Daphne Sheldrick's elephant orphanage, the Giraffe Centre and African craft market. Drive to Lake Nakuru National Park, afternoon game drive. Morning game drive. Travel to nearby Lake Naivasha National Park. Afternoon boat ride on the lake. Drive to Masai Mara National Reserve. Game drives in the Masai Mara looking for lion, cheetah, leopard, zebra and wildebeest. Visit Masai village and try Masai dancing! Drive to Nairobi. Trip ends upon arrival (Sun).

On this weeklong adventure, you will meet Tanzania's friendly local people and spot amazing wildlife. Enjoy game drives across the rolling grasslands of the Serengeti National Park amongst thousands of wildebeest and zebras. Visit a Masai village to learn about the proud Masai, their culture and dance. Next, explore Ngorongoro Crater, Africa's `Garden of Eden', to find rhino, elephant, cheetahs and lions. See the flamingos on the soda lake of Lake Manyara and search for the resident `tree-climbing' lions. Visit a snake park and hold a snake if you dare! We'll travel in extended 4WD vehicles with open tops for the best game viewing and stay in a permanent tented camp and lodges like Lake Manyara lodge one of the best lodges in Africa.
