The associations mission is to preserve the Galapagos Islands in order to provide enjoyment, education, adventure and inspiration to present and future generations. Through IGTOA, Peregrine contributes financially towards the assocations funding of a variety of projects that include combatting the effects of introduced species, scientific research, patrolling of the national park and the establishment of best practices within the islands tourism industry. THOMAS HECKE
Thomas Hecke is Brazilian and holds degrees in geography and espeleology (cave exploration). He is passionate about the great outdoors enjoys photography and has special interests in botany, natural history and culture. Fluent in Portuguese, English, German, Spanish and Dutch., Thomas has worked as a specialist ecotourism guide since 1988 throughout the South American continent. He has worked for Peregrine in Brazil since 2003 and says his mission as a guide is to make your trip an unforgettable time of your life! .
Thomas was the best tour leader to have in Brazil! He had a lot of knowledge and nothing was too much trouble for him. He was great.
