Although many are drawn to Europes big cities, it is the picturesque country trails, the quiet cobble-stoned alleys and the ancient villages that are the continents true treasures
COMFORTABLE HOTELS There is so much to see and do during the day, so a great nights sleep is essential! We seek out accommodation with authenticity, a scenic setting and central location. They are usually fairly small, are often family-owned or run establishments, have private bathrooms and often reflect the architectural heritage of the region. We actively avoid large international chain hotels. MOUNTAIN REFUGES On some of our more challenging treks your accommodation may be in rustic mountain huts or refugi. The standard of these shelters varies from basic alpine shelters to impressive hostel-type lodgings depending on the itinerary. Details of the nature of the accommodation will be found in the Trip Details section of each trip in this brochure. FEATURE STAyS Every year, our research team criss-crosses Europe in search of accommodation that is small, well located, family-run and comfortable. From time to time we uncover properties that have a certain something that makes them worthy of special mention. We call these properties our feature stays. Each one meets one or more of the following special criteria: peerless panoramic views, historical significance or outstanding facilities (like inviting pools or superb gardens). Look out for feature stays in the accommodation section of each trip. HIGHLIGHT ExPERIENCES As a Peregrine client you can expect great value and excellent inclusions. Our aim is to offer truly amazing experiences and not just holidays. With this in mind, we have introduced special highlight experiences to many itineraries, in addition to other inclusions. These special experiences are sure to be highlights of your trip. Look for more details in the itinerary of each trip. AddITIONAL ACCOMMOdATION Add a few days to the start or end of your trip by booking some additional accommodation. Price (£) per person from (inc. breakfast)
