Egypt & Libya Adventure 22 Days
An epic journey across the top of Africa
Several millennia of history unfold on this remarkable adventure. After travelling up the Nile, marvelling at Egypts premier historical sites, we journey across the top of Africa, witnessing the influence that varied cultures have had over thousands of years. Greeks, Romans, Byzantines and Arabs have all left indelible footprints on this awe-inspiring part of the world. Insights into more recent history are gained at World War II sites like El Alamein and Tobruk, before we reach the ancient Greek cities of Cyrene and Apollonia. Benghazi is a pleasant town, with fascinating architecture. Leptis Magna never fails to impress as one of the most magnificent and well-maintained Roman cities on earth. Sabratha visited on a relaxed day-trip from Tripoli is another wellpreserved Roman city. Tripoli itself is a delightfully buzzing, Mediterranean city, where there is a fascinating fusion of Mediterranean, African and Arabic influences.
