Our small groups, specialised vehicles and quality accommodation all go together to further enhance your African adventure accoMModation While the real highlight of Africa is the wildlife, culture and scenery, the quality of your accommodation is very important. Peregrine uses a combination of permanent tented camps, mobile camps, hotels and lodges. The hotels and lodges are not extravagant, but are well-appointed and do offer private bathrooms, airconditioning in hot regions and great security. LodGES In Kenya and Tanzania we work with quality lodges such as the Serena lodge at Manyara with its sweeping views of the lake it is one of our favourite places in East Africa. Throughout southern Africa we work with a variety of lodges, such as the beautifully ambient Mkhaya Lodge, a quality lodge with open-air stone cottages and thatched roofing to give you a real sense of being in the African bush. PERManEnt tEntEd caMPS Tented camps are an important feature of several Peregrine safaris. They add a wonderful flavour to the trip and many clients comment on their superb quality and ambience. They feature large walk-in tents, with private ensuite facilities, and the camp chefs deliver a fine selection of delicious food. Some of our favourite tented camps are the intimate camps of the Masai Mara and the remote 10 bed camp on the banks of the Machampane River in Mozambique. HotELS and GuESt HouSES Hotels are generally only featured in gateway cities, or in areas where lodge accommodation is either not available or necessary. In all cities our hotels are of a comfortable standard and are centrally located. MoBiLE caMPinG Mobile camping safaris all feature comfortable walk-in four-person dome tents (for two people), with foam mattresses. Group sizes are kept small and an assistant travels with you to help with the daily chores. Whilst facilities are very basic, the chance to camp out in the wild and be surrounded by the sounds of the bush is an integral part of the African experience for many people. additionaL accoMModation Add a few days to the start or end of your trip by booking some additional accommodation.
