It is amazing to think it was 13 years ago that I first set foot in Turkey. A young man's 5 month adventure back in 1994 walking 2,000 miles from Troy retracing the route of Alexander the Great has ended up fundamentally changing the direction of my life. I fell so deeply in love with the country, its people, and the wondrous remains of its past, that I've been going back year after year ever since not on solitary
escapades like my first, but as a guide wanting to share the country's archaeological bounty with others. I'm delighted to say that Peter Sommer Travels is going from strength to strength. 2007 was an exciting year for us record bookings, a new office manager, and now brand new offices. 2008 promises to be even more exhilarating.
