With a prime location on the promenade, this much-loved hotel exudes a sense of olde world grandeur.The imposing turreted' building has long been thought of as the symbol of Viareggio and was once the resort's finest hotel. A classic of its period - the first hotel to be built in Viareggio, in fact - recaptures the atmosphere of times gone by. The Royal still retains many of the features of yesteryear and has a faded elegance much loved by its guests. The grand, spacious entrance hall opens into the light-filled restaurant which has a domed glass ceiling; this impressive room looks out over the tranquil gardens where there's a large swimming pool. In fact the Royal is the only hotel in Viareggio to boast both a pool and a garden. Viareggio's famous stretch of sandy beach lies just across the road and charges at the Royal's beach are included. This attractive beach resort is ideally situated for anyone wanting to discover the delights of rural Tuscany, as well as the great Italian cities of Pisa and Florence. The hotel benefits from some excellent facilities making it an ideal base for a relaxing getaway. The pool is one of the largest in the area and the hotel also boasts an excellent beachfront location. The secluded garden area is an ideal spot to relax in the sun. The property overlooks Tirrenia's sizeable sandy beach, complete with deckchairs and parasols.
