Islands Cruise
Experience the wonderful diversity of a yacht cruise around the Galapagos Islands. Visit the outer islands onboard one of our carefully selected locally owned boats. Enjoy the huge variety of wildlife and landscapes. Immerse yourself in the experience with snorkelling, kayaking and walking, all in the safe hands of an expert naturalist guide. Choose from a Pura Aventura charter departure or an entirely tailored trip the decision is yours. How active?
In the Galapagos wildlife viewing and walking are the main activities, with optional swimming and snorkelling. Days tend to be split into two or three activities, which are either land or water based. Land excursions tend to last a couple of hours. You may find yourself walking on jagged lava so good walking shoes are recommended. Walks are not energetic but the heat can be draining, so you can follow activities with a cooling swim or snorkel from the beach. Generally you will return to the boat for lunch as you sail on to the next destination for an afternoon walk.

How comfortable?
Your first two nights are spent in a first class colonial style hotel in Quito. On the islands you can either join a Pura Aventura charter (which means you will only travel with other Pura Aventura clients), or you can choose the boat and date that most suits you. Our boats are generally first class or deluxe boats for 12-16 passengers. Examples are Cachalote, Diamante, Sagitta, Beagle, Samba, Alta and Parranda. Particularly on first class boats, cabins tend to be small although the communal areas and ample deck space more than make up for it.

WhY Pura
?
The boats we use are locally owned and operated meaning that more of your money stays in the islands. The route takes in some of the more outlying islands to give you the best opportunity to see a wide variety of species. We pay for you to become a benefactor of the Galapagos Conservation Trust for a full year.
