Experience wonderful scenery and sail on the amazing Breidafjordur bay, known for its stunning beauty, spectacular mountain backdrop, and home to a fantastic array of birdlife including puffins, kittiwakes, and fulmars. An opportunity to taste shellfish and sea-urchin roe (caviar), and make an unforgettable stop at Bjarnarhöfn, where the old national delicacy cured shark is prepared for consumption. RE/17: THE WONDERS OF SNAEFELLSJOKULL £80.00 The Northern Lights, also known as the Aurora Borealis, are a spectacular natural phenomenon, often seen dancing around in fantastic colours across the Arctic Sky. The Northern Lights originate from the sun, where large explosions and electronic storms throw flares and solar particles deep into space. The clouds of solar particles are caught by the Earths magnetic field on the south and north poles. When the solar particles collide with the atmospheric gases, it creates this wonderful light effect. NOTE: This tour will only operate subject to the correct weather conditions for sightings, usually during crispy cold and very still evenings. DURATION: 10 Hours. Visit the cone-shaped, ice covered strato-volcano Snaefellsjokull, the Snæfellsjökull National Park and take a short walk to the huge stone structure called Bárõur Snæfellsás. Journey along the rugged coastline, pass the picturesque Arnarstapi harbour, and onwards to a wonderful beach walk at Djúpalónssandur.
