Mountains of Malcata
n amazing mountain bike journey through a region boasting a strong medieval past. Our route heads south following the Spanish border through a varying landscape of granite mountains, green fields, pine covered slopes and dense vegetation, with the Malcata Mountains an untouched wilderness of colour, wild flowers and abundant wildlife. We cycle along Roman roads, stone tracks and disused railways, taking in some technical singletrack on a smugglers path across the border into Spain. With cheeky climbs and technical descents, the wide range of riding provides great mountain biking to test your skills to the full. For ease of connection, flights for this trip arrive into Oporto and leave from Lisbon.

Then join us on a 17 day, 1200km adventure that takes you from the North East, on the border with Spain, to the South West tip of Portugal on the Atlantic coast. This is a tour for the fit and experienced off-road biker, with testing riding and long days across a variety of terrains. This tour can also be ridden on road with a mountain or hybrid bike. Following a similar route northeast to southeast, you will wind through narrow country roads and gravel tracks enjoying the diverse terrains of Portugal. In true Skedaddle style, there is always superb accommodation and dining throughout the tour.
