unique programme that will tick both your biking and wildlife boxes during a ten day adventure to South Africa and Botswana. Following arrival in Johannesburg well head to the Long Tom Pass, a place just perfect for our first night with its amazing highland vistas! Our riding during these initial days, takes in some great routes including the Bushmans Trail and Alpine Heights as we explore the old mining trails around Mount Anderson. Our final ride here rounds off this initial part of the trip in style and is a real gem that takes us to Pilgrims Rest where we can relax in the afternoon. A transfer mid-point of the trip takes us over the border to Botswana and The Land of the Giants - Mashatu. This privately owned game reserve is dominated by open savannah and the thick river vegetation of the mighty Limpopo River. The next morning we ride out to the famed Mount Anderson and our classy homestead accommodation. Situated at around 2000m in the dramatic Drakensberg Mountains and west of the world famous Kruger National Park, well be in a truly breathtaking setting for our first few days of the trip. Our accommodation here consists of wilderness camps, set up prior to your arrival, that offer great comfort without detracting from a true wilderness experience! The riding here is a relaxed affair and well often encounter elephants, giraffe, zebra, wildebeest and occasionally see lions and leopards. There will of course be a back-up vehicle and armed riding guides with us at all times (just in case!). We also have a game drive to ensure you get the very best of this incredible area.
