ensational cycling through Norways most dramatic National Parks and fjords, a land of incredible views and fresh clean air you can almost taste! Our starting point and gateway to this stunning area is Bergen. With its quaint streets of wooden houses rising up from its bustling waterfront. After a stroll through the bustling quayside fish market and Bryggen wharves we depart by train to Voss. A spectacular journey in and out of tunnels, beside peaceful fjords, rushing rivers, towering mountainsides and placid lakes. Next morning we head over the Vikafjellet. With its stunning views over the longest fjord of them all, Sognefjorden its a great start to your cycling as we head to Dragsvik. We continue next day alongside Sognefjorden and into Jotunheimen National Park, which encompasses Norways
27 highest peaks and offers an exhilarating 10km climb to our superb mountain top accommodation at Turtagrø. Next day weve a 1,400 meter descent which is followed by Jostedalsbreen National Park, home to Europes largest glacier, before finishing the day with a great climb to the venerable Grotli. When you thought it could get no better we visit the incredible Geiranger fjord, considered by many to be the most spectacular with its many graceful waterfalls. This is reached by a thrilling 1,000 metre descent of the impressive Geiranger Pass.
Finally, we reach the Art Nouveau splendour of the port of Ålesund where we stay for the evening prior to flight home the next day. For those looking to extend their time in Norway, we are able to arrange an extension to the trip, which includes one night on board one of the luxuriously appointed coastal cruise ships, Hurtigruten, for the beautiful voyage back to Bergen and accommodation here following its arrival.
