Scotland - Tour d Ecosse Inverness Loch Ness Fort William Oban UK Scotland Glasgow Edinburgh I Tour d Ecosse K in ty Isle of Arran Tour d Ecosse Tour Duration: 10 days Grade: Price: £990 Optional: Bike Hire: £135 Insurance: £15 Tour Details: 9 nights B&B (twin share basis) 50% of meals included 8 days cycling Guided and fully supported Tour Dates & Codes: starts 12 Sep 08 f ever there was a destination in the British Isles to demonstrate that we dont have to travel overseas to enjoy incredibly dramatic landscapes, genuine wilderness and incredible riding then it would have to be the Highlands of Scotland. Inspired by the reaction of participants in our Lands End to John OGroats tours every time we get north of the border this extensive highlands adventure allows enough time to really soak up that unique Celtic atmosphere and takes in the best of the best of Scottish countryside. Real mountain passes, fresh air, huge views, heather-clad hills for as far as the eye can see, wild animals, ancient castles and whisky distilleries, the Tour dÉcosse has everything you might expect from a visit to one of Europes loveliest countries. Starting and finishing a short drive from Glasgow city centre you cant fail to be amazed by the outstanding natural beauty and incredible deserted tranquillity of what is a surprisingly sparselypopulated region. As the riding begins well meander our way in a generally north-easterly direction through the breathtaking scenery of the Trossachs and the Cairngorms, taking in the wild beauty of the lochs and glens along the way. Upon reaching Inverness, the most northern point in our tour, well change direction and head back down the country through the the Great Glen following the shorelines of Loch Ness and Loch Lochy to Fort William. Avoiding major roads as much as possible well bypass Oban on our way to the Mull of Kintyre from where well take a ferry to the Isle of Arran. After spending a day and night enjoying the sites of Arran its another short ferry hop to the mainland before taking the final leg of our tour back to where we began in Glasgow where will will spend one final celebratory evening. re ends 21 Sep 08 code TDE08/01 For a detailed tour dossier 0191 265 1110 www.skedaddle.co.uk UK Page 9
