ierras to the Sea is a fantastic trip from the impressive mountain town of Ronda to the wild and beautiful Costa de la Luz. On a mixture of dirt tracks and back lanes, the cycling is gently paced, with an emphasis on appreciating this beautiful area, rather than getting to the next accommodation as soon as possible. That said there are some decent climbs to make sure you earn your après ride tinto. Accomodation along the route is picked by quality, character and authenticity to give you a truly Andalusian experience. Ancient Moorish village houses, grand casonas, rural hotels built into castle walls, a beachside thatched hotel and a riverside casa rural and with organic kitchen and chance of a massage or Turkish bath to soothe any aching limbs.

This is a great location for those looking for a easy level trip, suitable for those seeking their first off-road biking holiday experience.

his self guided version of the Sierras to the Sea follows the same route over the first riding days to Castillo de Castella. Following this, is a train ride to the port town of Algeciras. Once here we take a magnificent trail through the beautiful Straits of Gibraltar Natural Park, with excellent vistas across to Morocco, to the Moorish stronghold of Tarifa. Tarifa marks the southernmost point of mainland Europe is the first town on the Atlantic and has a wonderful mixture of great restaurants and bars within the meandering old town. The last two days riding will take you Northwest up the beautiful, white sanded Atlantic coastline, past tuna fishing villages and into the Las Brenas pine forest, to finish only a stones throw away from the historical, wind swept Cape Trafalgar.
