Lake District
Some of the prettiest, most dramatic and diverse scenery in England; mountains, lakes, forests and ancient leafy lanes await your visit. This two centre based itinerary has a selection of higher and lower graded rides. With daily rides that enable you to choose between a leisurely day exploring or a challenging ride over some the Lakes classic passes this tour is suitable for those new to cycling holidays as well as the more experienced rider. Based in Keswick for your first two days we explore the northern area, cycling around Skiddaw, Blencathra and the lakes of Bassethwaite, Derwentwater and Loweswater. Next to Ambleside for some amazing cycling around Langdale, Grasmere, Coniston and Lake Windermere.
Lochs and Glens
Lochs and Glens is a tour of the Scottish Highlands from south to north through the heart of magnificent mountain ranges and valleys. This six day ride is part of the National Cycle Network and follows traffic-free paths and quiet roads, with some gentle offroad sections. Starting from the banks of Loch Lomond, we wind our way through the beautiful hills of the Trossachs, along the shores of tranquil lochs and across open moorland. Heading north, we absorb the awe-inspiring Grampian mountain range, through Aviemore and Strathspey to Inverness. Along the route are historic sites of battles and ancient castles. There are many opportunities along the way to see wildlife, including deer, eagle and osprey and also the chance to visit a whisky distillery.
