Cotswold Lanes
Quintessentially English, the Cotswolds are best explored in the saddle. Cycle through the beautiful Cotswolds countryside, along rolling country lanes with sweeping views, quiet hamlets and quaint villages steeped in history. This is a circular tour, which starts and finishes in the village of Moreton in Marsh, with its excellent train connections from throughout the UK. We stay in three lovely villages in picturesque accommodation that are superb places to relax and enjoy a pint of beer or a glass of wine in typical British pubs, after an enjoyable days biking. This tour is perfect for those looking for a gentle paced tour on quiet country lanes in one of the most picturesque places in the UK.
New Forest
Now a National Park, the new Forest despite its name is one of Englands oldest remaining broadleaf forests. Brockenhurst is your base for this holiday, set deep in the forest, surrounded by a myriad of family friendly cycle routes on heathland, and in ancient woodland. There can be few other places in England where the ancient landscape has remained so unchanged. (In 1079 when William the Conqueror named the area his new hunting forest, little could he imagine that nearly 1000 years later his Nova Foresta would still retain its mystery and romance.) Most of the routes can be tailored to suit your needs on the day and with all routes leading to and from Brockenhurst, the New Forest is perfect for families and those looking for a relaxed centre based break.
