There is a stream that trickles through this valley in the winter that leads eventually to the sea, however, every summer it gradually dries out leaving stubborn cacti and wild owers in its wake.This country villa sits amongst ancient trees, twisted by time and the elements, and the wild pistachio trees that give the villa its name. Ortakents famous beach is 7 kilometres away, a long stretch of dark, coarse sand, fringed by tamarisk trees with lush mandarin groves set back from the beach.The south facing bay of Ortakent has ideal conditions for windsurng and other watersports. From the sleepy, picturesque hamlet of Gökcebel, a 500m long track leads to this hillside villa. Set in three quarters of an acre of wooded grounds, green spreads in every direction as far as the eye can see, and the stone-built bungalow crouches at the centre of this dramatic landscape. Pebble mosaic pathways wind through the grounds, passing a bright sun terrace and a weathered olive tree which is reputed to be 1,000 years old, on the way to the pool area in the lower gardens.
