Reached along approximately 2km of white road, past the vineyards and olive groves of the owner, Zampugna sits in a glorious landscape surrounded by the grainy green of woodlands seeping into the billowing golds of elds of wheat and sunowers. Zampugnas surroundings are so quintessentially Tuscan - rolling hills, cypress trees and medieval hilltop villages - that this area was selected to provide the setting for the lming of A Midsummers Nights Dream and The English Patient. Zampugna embodies too the unique essence of Tuscany, for when this ne old farmhouse was converted into ve superb apartments (plus a small but completely independent cottage), the original beams, cotto oors, roof tiles and brick arches were retained.Top quality furnishings complement Zampugnas traditional character and for cooler early and late season evenings, each apartment has its own working replace, while the cottage has a rare antique ceramic wood-burning stove. Living/dining rooms have a satellite television and a smart kitchenette.
