Car Hire & Driving
In partnership with Europcar we are able to offer the highest quality car hire with exceptionally good rates.This gives you the freedom to enjoy the delights of Corsica to your own agenda and pace. A car is automatically included in the majority of our holidays, but if you would like to add an additional car to your booking we offer the special rates below if you reserve the car prior to your departure.You will collect your car from the airport and you will be provided with detailed driving instructions and a map. N.B.You MUST remember to carry your drivers licence with you at all times as it is a legal requirement in Corsica.Without it you will not be able to hire a car or drive.
What is included

Luggage
The luggage space in a group A car is rather limited, so if you are collecting your car from the airport on arrival with a lot of luggage or you would like that extra bit of comfort when touring, we recommend you upgrade to a larger car in a different vehicle group. We regret we are unable to offer a separate transfer for excess luggage that does not fit within the car.
Key for car rental coding & upgrading or adding cars
The car rental industry utilises an industry standard vehicle matrix to define car groups. It ensures a like for like comparison of standards across countries. An example of the type of car included can be found in the above matrix. All car types are examples: cars allocated will be of a similar standard but may differ by destination. A standard car suitable for your party size is included in your holiday. If you wish to upgrade the car, or add additional cars to your booking, please follow the steps below: Step 1 - refer to the car hire prices box above (shown in £), noting which car groups are available. Step 2 - the vehicle matrix, below, will help you to decipher the code of the car group. The first letter refers to the class, the second to the type, the third refers to the transmission and the last letter refers to the air-conditioning. E.g. EBMR = Economy, 2 door, manual, air-conditioned. Step 3 - if you wish to upgrade your car please refer to the upgrade cost detailed in the car hire prices box. Likewise, if you wish to add a car to your booking please refer to the additional car cost. We do have further car types available that are not featured in the car hire prices box please ask us for further details. Important notes
Deposits You will be asked to leave an imprint of the named drivers valid major credit card (not debit card) to cover a fuel and security deposit. This will vary depending upon the type of rental car and by destination.This amount will be held on your credit card and released on the safe return of the fully fuelled car. For larger cars a second credit card imprint may be required. Excess charges Are payable in the event of damage, theft, attempted theft or vandalism to the car, excess charges vary depending upon the type of rental car and by destination. Excess charges can be dramatically reduced by the purchase of Super CDW & Theft Waiver locally. Out of hours charges Will apply if you are collecting or returning a car, requesting delivery or collection of a car outside of the Europcar locations opening hours.This will vary by destination. Drivers documentation and age restrictions A full and valid original driver's licence in English that has been held for at least one year is required. Photo-card licences must be supported with a counterpart licence. A photocopy or fax copy of the driving licence will not be accepted. At the time of booking any endorsements to a driver's licence such as driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol and negligence should be advised to your holiday advisor or travel agent. All intended drivers must produce the appropriate documentation and sign the rental agreement. A car rental voucher will be issued along with your holiday documentation.The minimum rental age for the majority of destinations is 21 years, however a young driver surcharge usually applies to drivers under 25 years.The maximum rental age for all countries is 70.
