A beautiful house, set in its own grounds, with breathtaking views over the Bay of Propriano.
Situated at the end of a quiet lane, just a few minutes drive from Olmeto, lies the secluded and wonderfully positioned Casa Di LAria. Set in oak and olive tree-dotted grounds, the house is very private, with the owners detached house the only other building in the gardens.The balcony runs the entire length of the house and the views which overlook the Bay of Propriano and towards the south of the island are truly breathtaking. The house itself is split over two oors, with an extremely spacious living-dining room, with its best feature being the sea-facing views from the French windows.The house is furnished with traditional Corsican furniture, and the kitchen is extremely well equipped with microwave, dishwasher and washing machine. On the upper oor are three bedrooms, one twin and two doubles, which all have French windows leading on to the terrace and each with stunning sea views.This oor also has a bathroom with shower attachment, plus a separate WC. Theres a lovely private swimming pool in the grounds, making this retreat an even better place in which to refresh tired minds and bodies. Most people tend to drive through the nearby village of Olmeto on their way south from Ajaccio, admiring the spectacular panorama but having no idea that below the
stone houses which line the main road are enchanting cobbled passageways, winding stone steps and tiny squares. Olmeto is a traditional community with shops, cafés and a few restaurants. At night from the terraces and balconies surrounding Casa Di LAria, you can see the lights of Propriano and the mountain villages twinkling in the distance. British visitors are almost unknown here, so it is the place to come if you wish to really become part of the community and relax completely into the Corsican way of life.This is the perfect place to unwind and enjoy the beautiful views, whilst still being only a short drive from the traditional village of Olmeto and the splendid beaches of the Valinco Gulf.
