CHILDCARE INFORMATION
We have childcare facilities in four of our resorts, which means that parents and young children alike are able to enjoy their holidays to the full. We employ qualified British nannies to look after your children, leaving you free to ski safe in the knowledge that they are being cared for in the best possible way.
THE CRECHE SERVICE La Plagne: situated below Chalet Perrier Les Arcs: situated below Chalet Marmotton Plan Peisey La Tania: located in Chalet Amethyste La Rosière: in Chalet Papillon development Our crèches provide clean, safe and stimulating environments for the children using the service. The crèches are organised according to age groups and activities, providing all the facilities required by a modern day nursery. In each of our crèches the Ski Beat nannies will have the equipment set up ready for the children's arrival in the morning.There are lots of games, toys and craft materials to stimulate the children. In addition, there will be time to play outside, subject to weather conditions and parental consent. After lunch there will normally be a quieter period and children needing a sleep will be able to do so in the separate sleeping area. The service we offer includes: # A 6 day service: Sunday - Friday inclusive. # Hours: 08.45h - 17.00h (includes lunch). # Service available for children aged 3 months to 4 years inclusive. SKI SCHOOL & AFTERNOON CARE In the morning parents should accompany children to the ski school meeting point (Oxygene ski school in la Plagne, ESF in Les Arcs, La Rosière and la Tania) where a Ski Beat nanny will be on hand during the course of the lessons. Our nannies will not actually ski with the children. At the end of the morning lessons she will collect all the children who are using the afternoon care service and accompany them back to a Ski Beat chalet for lunch, this is likely
to be whichever chalet the most children are staying in. Our nannies do not take children back to ski school for afternoon lessons. After lunch there will be a mixture of indoor and outdoor activities including painting, drawing, snowman building, sledging and much more.There will also be a choice of books and games as well as a selection of childrens' videos. NB Ski school needs to be booked, and paid for separately.This is most easily done by going to www.skibeat.co.uk and "Ski Packs". The service we offer includes: # A 6 day service: Sunday - Friday inclusive. # Nanny to be on hand during ski lessons. # Collection from ski school, lunch and supervised care to 17.00h. # Service only available for children aged 4 - 7 years inclusive, we advise against 3 year olds skiing with ski school: most will not take them. PRIVATE NANNY SERVICE A private nanny service is available in la Plagne, Les Arcs, La Rosière and la Tania for the use of groups who book a whole chalet.The service is based on 6 days cover, includes lunch and it will take place in your chalet.The nanny will be responsible solely for those children in your group.The number of children she can look after is in accordance with the Ski Beat nanny:child ratios shown. It is not possible to mix children requiring all day care with those attending morning ski school and afternoon childcare. Please do not ask our nannies to accompany 3 year olds to ski school: we advise against 3 year olds skiing.
MERIBEL & VAL D'ISERE We do not offer our childcare services in either Méribel or Val d'Isère. Information on other childcare services in these resorts is available on our website. PLEASE NOTE As our nannies work on a rota basis we may not be able to provide the same nanny every day. Part weeks can not be booked.You can take your child out of the chosen service at any time, we suggest you liaise with the nannies, but no refund will be given. Once booked cancellation and amendment charges apply - see clause 6 of the booking conditions. INFANT CHARGE There is a charge of £80 per child under 2 years of age, whether the childcare services are used or not.This is to cover the cost of cots, cot linen, highchairs, baby monitors etc. If an infant less than 2 years requires a bed then the child price applies.This charge also includes a seat on transfer taxis or coaches. Please note that child seats are not provided, this is due to the vagaries of French law. If a transfer seat is not used/required this charge will not be reduced.
