Lying in its own grounds next door to our Villa Citadella, the Girardu is within strolling distance of the capital's impressive cathedral and a variety of places to eat and shop. Even the beach is within easy reach, with the gently shelving, coarse sands only five kilometres away. This is a really lovely house which enjoys a peaceful, relaxed atmosphere, hidden behind its own stone walls. There are views of the local countryside from the poolside terrace, from which double doors open into the villa's cool interior where the open-plan, interconnecting lounge, dining room and kitchen are traditionally furnished to complement the villa's pale limestone walls. A bathroom and a twin bedroom complete the ground floor accommodation, whilst three first floor
bedrooms are reached by external stairs. Here the double room and one of the twin bedrooms each have their own en suite shower room. Although this house has four bedrooms, we are offering it with three, meaning there's ample space. A typical Gozitan conversion, this attractive villa can be found next door to our Villa Girardu, tucked away down a narrow alley off a quiet road on the outskirts of Victoria, within walking distance of the market and the shops and restaurants in the city centre. The house is furnished in traditional style, as befits its architectural origins and is of an unusual shape, arranged around a central courtyard with a well. The swimming pool is set into a sundrenched terrace, surrounded by a low wall over which sunbathers can enjoy views of the surrounding countryside and the Citadel. Inside, the lounge, dining room and kitchen are linked by stone archways and one of the twin bedrooms and a shower room are also on the ground floor.
