INSURANCE
Holiday insurance when you travel is vital. Thats why we recommend our own insurance which is only available to UK residents who are in the UK at the time of payment of the premium non-UK residents are advised to make arrangements within their own country. The premium must be forwarded to us, together with the holiday deposit, to ensure that you are protected by the cover under the holiday cancellation section of the insurance. The full terms, conditions and exclusion clauses are incorporated within the master policy, which alone constitutes the contract of insurance between the holidaymaker and the Insurers. A brief synopsis of the cover provided is set out below. You may inspect the master policy at our offices, or a copy will be sent to you upon request: Tel: 0870 754 2711. 1. Personal accident Up to £25,000 in respect of loss of eye(s), limb(s), or permanent total disablement. Up to £10,000 in respect of death. 2. Cancellation or curtailment of your holiday up to £3000. 3. Medical & emergency repatriation expenses including curtailment) Up to £5,000,000. Includes repatriation by air ambulance where medically necessary. 4. Hospital benefit Up to £1000 (£20 per 24 hours). Benefit payable in the event that the Insured Person is hospitalised abroad. 5. Baggage & personal effects Up to £1,500. Limit £200 any one item, pair or set. Limit £200 jewellery, watches, furs and photographic equipment, in all. 6. Delayed baggage Up to £150 for purchase of emergency requisites or clothing if baggage is delayed on arrival by at least 12 hours. 7. Passport indemnity Up to £200 for costs necessarily incurred abroad in replacing your passport following loss/theft or damage. 8. Personal money Up to £300 (actual cash £150). 9. Personal liability Up to £2,000,000. 10. Travel delay If the flight on the first outward leg or the first return leg of your trip is delayed for 12 hours or more, due to strike, industrial action, adverse weather conditions or mechanical breakdown of the aircraft, the Insurers will pay to each Insured Person: either (a) £20 for the first 12 hours and £10 per 12 hours thereafter up to a maximum of £100 in all. or (b) if the delay occurs on the first outward leg you may elect to cancel the entire trip after the first 12 hours and claim reimbursement of your cancellation fee. 11. Missed departure Up to £1,000. Additional travel & accommodation expenses incurred to reach the destination due to failure of private or public transport services to deliver the Insured to the departure point in time for the outward international flight. 12. Legal expenses Up to £25,000 to pay legal costs and expenses to pursue compensation and/or damages following personal injury or death. 13. Withdrawal of services Up to £200 (£20 per day) should you suffer the withdrawal of certain specified services for at least 60 continuous hours during your holiday. 14. Hijacking/mugging Up to £2000 (£20 per 24 hrs).
WARRANTY
IMPORTANT DECLARATION PRE-EXISTING MEDICAL CONDITIONS This insurance policy contains health restrictions. You must be able to make the following declaration for you, anyone travelling with you, a close relative or business associate who the trip will depend on. For you or anyone travelling with you, as far as you know the following applies: (a) nobody is waiting for an operation, hospital consultation or any other hospital treatment or investigations including the results of a routine test. (b) nobody has been seen by a specialist or been admitted to a hospital overnight in the last 12 months. (c) nobody has any breathing or heart problem (including angina) or high blood pressure which has needed treatment (including regular medication) in the last two years. (d) nobody has received treatment, including regular medication, in the last 12 months for any of the following: " disorder of the blood such as clotting, bleeding or anaemia " any form of stroke " any form of cancer, leukaemia or tumour " a transplant or dialysis treatment " any psychiatric illness, stress, depression, anxiety or dementia " any other pre-existing and on-going medical condition that has required regular medication. (e) Nobody has been diagnosed by a registered doctor as having a terminal condition (f) Nobody has been diagnosed as being pregnant with an expected delivery date within 16 weeks of the trip return date (g) I do not know of any reason why the trip is likely to be cancelled or cut short or of any facts that may cause a claim on this insurance. Note if you, or anyone travelling with you cannot make this declaration when you take out the insurance or book a trip, YOU MUST TELEPHONE Medical Screening on 08700 662 724. Do this at the time of taking out this insurance or booking your trip and they will tell you if they can give cover. If you cannot contact them at the time of buying this insurance, you must contact them within 14 days of booking your trip/before you travel. They will tell you if they need any more information. For a close relative or business associate who is not travelling and whose health may affect the trip: If, at the time of taking out this insurance (or booking the trip if this was later) your close relative or business associate had a medical condition for which he or she: " is receiving treatment at hospital " is waiting for a hospital consultation or treatment; " has been given a terminal prognosis, or been told that their condition is likely to get worse in the next 12 months the Insurers will not pay for any claim that has anything to do with that medical condition.
CHANGE IN YOUR CIRCUMSTANCES
If after taking out this Insurance you become aware of any circumstances that may give rise to a claim such as changes in your health or that of a person on whom this insurance may depend (e.g. a close relative) you must contact Medical Screening and tell them about the changes as soon as reasonably possible and prior to any trip. The Insurers may in the light of such changed circumstances not be able to continue cover. If this is not acceptable to you, the Insurers will cover you for any loss of deposit or cancellation charges you have necessarily incurred up to the date of the change of circumstances that are normally covered. In these circumstances no Policy Excess will be applied. Contact Medical Screening on 08700 662 724 for information. Please note that you must contact them promptly regarding the change and are responsible for all costs incurred in obtaining any medical reports required by them. EXCESSES
The first £60 of each and every claim from each insured person is excluded under the following sections: cancellation, medical emergency, repatriation expenses and curtailment, baggage and personal effects, personal money and travel delay (part b). Claims under the Cancellation Section for loss of deposit only exclude the first £20. For Sections 9 & 12 the excess is £200.

This insurance is underwritten by Templeton Insurance Ltd, 18-20 North Quay, Douglas, Isle of Man. Templeton Insurance is incorporated on the Isle of Man, authorised and regulated by the Isle of Man Government, Insurance & Pensions Authority. Templeton Insurance Ltd is not part of the Financial Services Compensation Scheme.
IMPORTANT NOTICE
We must draw your attention to important features of your policy including: Policy document: you should read the document carefully. It gives you full details of what is and is not covered and the conditions of the cover. Conditions, exclusions & warranties: conditions and exclusions will apply to individual sections of your policy while general exclusions, conditions and warranties will apply to the whole of your policy. Health: your policy contains conditions about the health of the people travelling and of other people upon whose health the trip may depend. Hazardous holiday activities: if you are going to take part in hazardous holiday activities, check that your policy covers you. Property claims: these claims are paid based on the value of the goods at the time you lose them and not on a new for old or replacement cost basis, unless otherwise stated in your policy. Policy limits: most sections of your policy have limits on the amount the insurer will pay under that section. Some sections also include other specific limits, for example: for any one item or for valuables in total. Please note that reduced sums insured apply to certain age groups. Policy excesses: under most sections of the policy, claims will be subject to an excess. This means that you will be responsible for paying the first part of the claim. The amount you have to pay is the excess. Policy excesses are applied on a per person, per claim basis. Reasonable care: you need to take all reasonable care to protect yourself and your property, as you would if you were not insured. Complaints: your insurance policy will have in it a complaints procedure which tells you what steps you can take if you wish to make a complaint. Your policy is governed by English law unless you and your insurers have agreed otherwise. PLEASE MAKE SURE YOU READ YOUR POLICY CAREFULLY. Valid until November 2008. We must be informed of any fact which is likely to influence us in the acceptance, assessment or continuance of this insurance. Failure to do so may invalidate this insurance, leaving you with no right to make a claim.
