Overlooking the stone walls and open fields of the Dahlet Qorrot valley, one kilometre from the village and just a bit further from the crystal clear waters fringing a shingly cove, this beautifully restored farmhouse dates back some three hundred years. This is a house of captivating, rustic charm. Reached by impressive wide stone steps, the first floor is home to a cosy living room, a dining area and a small open kitchen. French windows lead onto a broad furnished balcony with views across the fields to the sea and the island of Sicily in the distance. Also on this floor, a double bedroom enjoys sea views and has its own small shower room. A narrow stone staircase leads up from the first floor to the villa's splendidly scenic roof terrace.
On the ground floor, although we offer this as only a two bedroom property, there are actually two delightfully intimate bedrooms, a double and a twin, their simple design and décor complemented by pale limestone walls. These share a bathroom. Enclosed by a high stone wall in a sun-drenched courtyard behind the villa is a refreshing plunge-pool. The Ta Cenc is another of our former farmhouses which has been lovingly and sympathetically restored to create a memorable holiday home. The house is virtually next door to the L'Iskoll' restaurant and only a short walk from a few bars, a local shop and a couple more places to eat. The nearby Hotel Ta Cenc has a gymnasium and a spa available to non-residents at a local daily charge. This lovely farmhouse is very comfortable and well-equipped throughout. On the ground floor are a shower room, a living room and an impressive kitchen/diner which leads out to a sunny courtyard where paved terracing surrounds a plunge pool with whirlpool jets.
Two double bedrooms and two shower rooms can be found on the first floor and although priced in the two bedroom category there's a third small double bedroom on the second floor, complete with an en suite washroom. A splendid roof terrace is reached by stairs from the second floor and is home to a barbecue, providing a wonderfully scenic location for al fresco dining overlooking the surrounding countryside.
