Like its nearby sister villa, Ta Wenzu II is an impressive house, approached by a winding drive just a kilometre away from the delightful village of Gharb and three kilometres from the beach. Dwejra, with its dramatic rock formations, has earned the reputation of being among the best dive sites in the Mediterranean and can be reached beyond nearby San Lawrenz. Throughout this superb single-storey villa much use has been made of traditional building materials and styles, from lovely Maltese tiles and arched ceilings, to lots of natural wood and stone.
The sunny paved terrace around the large swimming pool is surrounded by a low wall and leads through patio doors into a spacious living and dining area with fabulous views over the surrounding countryside. The bedrooms are all beautifully decorated, the master bedroom having an open-plan bathroom. One of the twin bedrooms has an en suite bathroom and the other its own en suite shower room. Villa Alley is located just off the village square in San Lawrenz, next door to its sister property, our Villa Serenity. There are a couple of places to eat within easy reach of the villa, the Gozo Craft Village is nearby and the nearest pebble beach is at Dwejra, less than three kilometres away, where some fabulous diving opportunities can be found. This unusually-named villa (known locally as Alleyway) is a modern conversion of a traditional farmhouse, with lots of authentic features such as exposed wood ceiling beams complemented by appealing modern touches, including a rooftop swimming pool. The sunbathing terrace which surrounds that rooftop pool is a great spot to relax and soak up the Gozitan sunshine.
Steps lead from the poolside terrace through patio doors into an open-plan lounge/diner and kitchenette. ownstairs are a laundry room and two pretty bedrooms, the double having an en suite bathroom with a half-size bath and the twin its own en suite shower room.
