ES CUBELLS In the beautiful south of the island, Es Cubells is a delightful little pueblo centred around a pretty nineteenth century church and home to little more than a couple of bars and restaurants and a local shop. A narrow windy road leads down the steep hillside from the church, to the lower part of the village and the beach of Ses Boques, a journey best made by car. Here the sand and pebble beach is great for snorkelling and not only boasts spectacular views, but also a popular beachside bar and restaurant serving fresh fish and cold beer with equal enthusiasm. Distance from airport approximately 14 kilometres. S A N CA R LO S San Carlos is a fairly lively little village with a varied selection of bars and places to eat and the added attraction of a weekly Hippy Market every Saturday. The nearest beach is a short drive away at Cala Lena. Distance from airport approximately 25 kilometres. S A N TA AG N E S Surrounded by rolling countryside about ten kilometres from the two beautiful pine-fringed beaches at Cala Salada on the north coast, Santa Agnes is a rural village with a mini-market, a restaurant or two and plenty of peace and quiet. SAN JOSEP A charming village with a supermarket, a butcher, a fishmonger and a variety of places to eat including a very tempting tapas restaurant, San Josep is also within very easy reach of the sheltered, sandfringed bay around the fishing village of Cala Vadella and the long, wide and equally family-friendly beach at Cala Tarida. Distance from airport approximately 10 kilometres. S A N TA E U L A L I A Beautifully situated around a serene horseshoe bay that is backed by fragrant pine forests, Santa Eulalia is a place to come for sheer peace and tranquillity. There is a good selection of restaurants and bars around the charming marina and along the promenade where youll find a wonderful, traditional Spanish atmosphere with everyone taking life at a relaxed pace. The resorts jewel in the crown is the stunning beach, an expanse of soft white sand is lapped by gentle, translucent waters whether youre wanting to unwind in the sun or take advantage of the myriad watersports you will not be disappointed.
