Casa Murta is a delightful house whose origins date back some four hundred years and whose wonderfully peaceful, scenic surroundings appear unchanged in all that time. The villa is a few hundred metres from the road into Es Cubells and lies amidst rolling countryside only a couple of kilometres from the beach, a mini-market or two and a couple of local restaurants. The villa has been sympathetically renovated and retains much of its rustic charm, with narrow windows keeping the interior pleasingly cool. The lounge has an ornamental fireplace and opens onto a shaded patio, whilst an open-plan kitchen is home to a large dining table with bench seating.
The two timber-roofed double bedrooms are charming, with one having an en suite shower room and opening onto a furnished dining area overlooking the pool and the other leading directly onto the poolside terrace. The spacious bathroom has an impressive whirlpool bath and the villa also has an extra single bedroom, reached by six steps. High hedges surround the delightfully secluded poolside terrace and the pretty garden is planted with colourful shrubs and plants, fruit trees and stubby palms.
