AG H I O S I OA N N I S Aghios Ioannis beach is one of the most beautiful beaches in Lefkas and the closest to the capital on the island. It can get very windy here making it a favourite among windsurfers and kite surfers. The capital Lefkas Town is a few kilometres away and all the amenities of the mainland are just over the bridge. Agia Marina is located within a suburb of the town. Distance from airport approximately 24 kilometres. AMMOUSO Ammouso is a small and quiet area with a pretty a bay and just one taverna opposite the beach. There is camp site to the far side of the bay and restaurants and bars of Sivota and Vassiliki are nearby. Distance from airport approximately 58 kilometres. P O N D I B E AC H On the western side of the bay of Vassiliki is the small village of Pondi. A modern resort, Pondi has grown around the village and is a great spot for windsurfers and other watersport enthusiasts offering a long narrow pebbly beach. A number of tavernas, bars and other facilities litter Pondi and its only a short walk to the stylish harbour of Vassiliki. Distance from airport approximately 62 kilometres. VA S S I L I K I As the main hub for watersports on the island, Vassiliki sees windsurfers flock towards its bay in the afternoon to take advantage of the favourable conditions here. Located just below the islands peak, Mount Stavrotas, Vassiliki has a pleasant harbour with some traditional bars and tavernas sprinkled around it. Distance from airport approximately 60 kilometres. S I VOTA A firm favourite with the boating set, Sivota is nestled in a picturesque wooded valley to the south of the island. There are a number of traditional tavernas with freshly caught local fish being a popular choice on most menus. Distance from airport approximately 51 kilometres.
