P U E R TO P O L L E N S A Curving around a wide, sheltered bay, Puerto Pollensa retains an unspoilt charm and character from the days when its modern marina was little more than a fishing village. The town is home to numerous restaurants serving a wide variety of local, national and international cuisine, many to be found along the attractive harbour front from which a wonderfully wide and golden sandy beach stretches right around the bay to the south, shelving gently into the sea. Distance from airport approximately 64 kilometres. POLLENSA AREA & CA L A S A N V I C E N T E Contained within about ten square kilometres, the area around the old town of Pollensa in which most of our villas can be found is roughly triangular in shape, stretching along the coast to Alcudia from Cala San Vicente, past Puerto Pollensa and inland to Pollensa itself where the old town offers a variety of restaurants, a selection of shops and supermarkets and a popular nine-hole golf course. Cala San Vicente is a small coastal resort with two pretty beaches and just a few bars and places to eat and to the south, Sa Pobla is a tranquil rural village, lying at the foot of the Tramuntana mountains. Distance from airport approximately 58 kilometres. CA L A D O R A R E A Cala d'Or is a delightful resort whose streets and squares are home to an elegant mix of waterfront cafés and restaurants overlooking a colourful marina and a busy commercial area. The town takes its name from its beautiful golden 'calas' or coves, the prettiest of which are Cala Ferrera and Cala Llonga. Inland are a myriad pretty villages, surrounded by unspoilt countryside, dotted here and there by windmills and rocky outcrops. Once such village is Es Caritxo, really no more than a tiny hamlet with a few houses, a café-bar, a garden centre and a huge cathedral-size church. A few kilometres away, the village of S'Horta boasts a bank, a bar, a church and a supermaket. Distance from airport approximately 63 kilometres. CA M P O S A R E A On the south eastern borders of Majorca's vast central plain lies the busy market community of Campos. Here the landscape is tranquil, with gentle breezes creating intricate patterns in the wheat fields which stretch as far as the eye can see. The highlight of the week in Campos is the weekly market when the otherwise peaceful town welcomes locals and visitors alike. During the rest of the week, Campos is still a welcoming little town with a variety of shops and restaurants and a couple of banks. A ten minute drive to the south, Sa Rapita is a sleepy seaside resort famous for its seafood restaurants and the beautiful beach of Es Trenc whose soft white sands stretch for more than ten kilometres. Distance from airport approximately 37 kilometres.
