RESORTS TURKEY ...ON VIEW Ö LÜ D E N I Z One of Turkeys most acclaimed beach resorts, the beautiful turquoise waters of Ölü deniz bay and lagoon bask beneath the Babadag Mountain. From its summit you can try your hand at paragliding with a graceful, or not so graceful landing on the promenade below. The lovely Ölü deniz lagoon is a conservation area and there is a small charge for entry to the lagoon beach where the shallow waters are ideal for children. Between the shimmering Mediterranean and the glorious Belcekiz beach a lush green strip of grass and leafy trees provide welcome shade alongside a splendid collection of restaurants and beachside restaurants serving up a great cocktail of chilled drinks and chilled sounds. Distance from airport approximately 75 kilometres. F E T H I Y E & K AYA KÖY Twelve kilometres from Ölü deniz, Fethiye is a pretty town sprawling at the foot of the pine-clad Mount Mendos and curving around the deep blue, island-scattered bay. The centre of town has a distinct souk-like atmosphere with a maze of streets lined with restaurants, bars and carpet, spice and leather shops. Abandoned by a Greek exodus in 1923, the nearby ghost town of Kayaköy retains a unique charm and offers a good selection of traditional Turkish restaurants and a variety of souvenir shops. Distance from airport approximately 50 kilometres. OVAC I K Running directly out of Hisaronu, located on a plateau within six kilometres of the coast at Ölü deniz, Ovacik is a residential area in the shadow of the imposing Babadag Mountain, with a few local restaurants and small stores located 2 kilometres away. Distance from airport approximately 75 kilometres. KALKAN A peaceful, picturesque village east of Fethiye, Kalkan lies at the foot of the Taurus Mountains, its pretty bay guarded by tree-clad hills. Narrow, sloping streets are lined with whitewashed houses, whilst in colourful bazaars and stores youll be invited to sip tea with traditional Turkish friendliness as youre tempted by intricately woven rugs and carpets. Kalkan offers an extraordinary choice of eateries in the old town and beside the lovely tree lined harbour. A pretty little pebble beach faces Kalkan Bay, whilst seven kilometres east is Kaputas beach with its dramatic cliffside backdrop. Distance from airport approximately 125 kilometres. DA LYA N The picturesque village of Dalyan is relatively untouched by mass tourism and so retains much of its wonderful history and natural allure. Dalyan is one of Turkeys most historic resorts. There are a few cafes and bars around the area perfect for relaxing evenings enjoying food and taking in the wonderful views. Distance from airport approximately 25 kilometres. f o r m o r e i n f o r m a t i o n o n r e s o r t s i n Tu r k e y v i s i t st y l e h o l i d a y s .c o.u k book your villa, flights, car hire & transfers visit www.styleholidays.co.uk or call 0844 800 7002 83
