For centuries the deserts of Arabia have held a special fascination for travellers. For seven days you can find out why! You'll traverse mountains, sea and desert and explore the 'lost city' of Petra. Over two nights in Wadi Rum you'll discover sandstone landscapes and astronomical treasures beneath the milky way with your private telescope access and astronomy expert.
Itinerary
Day 1 Fly to Amman and transfer to your hotel. Day 2 This morning you'll transfer to the `Lost City' of Petra Day 5 Journeying to the Red Sea city of Aqaba, you will have free time to relax on the sandy beaches or take an optional boat trip to snorkel amongst the coral reefs and underwater world. Day 6 Driving north we'll arrive at the lowest place on earth, the Dead Sea. Experience the remarkable feeling of floating on the salt-laden waters. Day 7 Fly home.
where you will have a full day to explore the ancient tresures for which this site is famed. Day 3 Free morning and optional early morning visit to explore Petra, hewn from the rock face. A short afternoon drive will take you to the magnificent desert scenery of Wadi Rum where you sleep under a blanket of stars. Time to relax in the Bedouin Camp before an evening of astronomy with your expert. Day 4 You will have a full day exploring the desert and stupendous rock formations of Wadi Rum by 4WD and on foot with your desert guide. In the evening our attention will turn skyward for a second night stargazing.

Essentials
Anyone in good health should be able to participate. There is a reasonable amount of walking involved, especially in Petra. Be prepared for dry, dusty desert conditions. Climate The temperature will be warm throguhout the day however, can be cool in the desert evenings. Transport Minibus, 4WD, on foot Accommodation Hotels (4 nights), camp (2 nights, multi-share) In a Beduoin-style camp you will stay in large tents (8-10 per tent). Expect basic facilities set in a beautiful desert location. Meals included 6 breakfasts, 1 lunch & 2 dinners
