Your astronomy expert will talk you through the constellations and the night sky. Explore the Sinai desert by camel and 4x4 or try your hand at sandboarding before camping under a blanket of stars! You can visit St Catherine's Monastery, climb for sunrise up Mt. Sinai and swim with exotic fish in the Red Sea. A great blend of action, relaxation and astronomy. Insider's view This trip is packed full of adventure with a great mix of activities. I loved exploring the canyons, dunes and rocky landscape of the desert, riding camels, chatting around a camp fire and sleeping under the stars. On our second day we were driven in 4x4s to a huge dune where we could have a go at sandboarding and sand tumbling. The sand got everywhere but it was great fun. Back at the coast we snorkelled over the reefs and I took the opportunity to book a one day `try dive' course. The support from a professional diver gave me the confidence to explore the abundant and colourful life of the reef. Paul Medley - Commercial Director Itinerary Day 1 Fly to Sharm El Sheikh; transfer to Dahab. Day 2 This morning you drive into the desert to start your camel try your hand at or you can choose to simply relax. Day 5 After breakfast, enjoy a snorkel safari in the clear blue waters and reefs of the Red Sea. This evening you can go on the optional trip to St Catherine's Monastery combined with a climb up Mt Sinai. Day 6 Free day for you to take part in some optional activites such as kayaking or simply relax by the Red Sea. Day 7 Today is your final full day. You can choose to go snorkelling at the Blue Hole, take camels along the coastline or take a boat to the National Park of Nabq to snorkel at Gabr el Bint. Alternatively, you can spend the day at Dahab relaxing and doing some last minute shopping. Day 8 Transfer to Sharm El Sheikh; fly home. trek stopping at the White Canyon, Ein Hudra and Narrow Canyon before continuing on to your Bedouin camp. This evening your astronomy expert will guide you around the constellations with an excellent chance of seeing the Perseid meteors in 2012. Day 3 Travel by 4x4 into "Lawrence of Arabia Desert" to discover frozen dinosaur rock formation. Here you can try sand boarding down the highest dune in the Sinai. After dinner your astronomy expert will present another live planetarium show, pointing out more wonders of the universe.
