New USA 10 days Trip Code EXUA Alaskan Aurora Alaska has been nicknamed "America's last frontier" as it covers a vast area of unspoilt wilderness with beautiful mountains, lakes and rivers. This tour starts in cosmopolitan Anchorage from where you will take the train passing Denali National Park en route to the city of Fairbanks. This region is noted for its reliable, bright and colourful light shows in an area specifically chosen to complement them. Insider's view The great Scottish born, American conservationist John Muir once said "To the lover of wilderness, Alaska is one of the most wonderful countries in the world" and he was a man who knew wilderness. To me the ice clad landscapes of mountains, fast flowing rivers and vast areas of conifer forest always have a very special appeal. Plus the crisp, stable air in March make it an ideal time to enjoy the beauty of the winter, and with increasing daylight and nights regularly festooned by auroral swirls and glows, March is also a time when the people of Alaska relish the reawakening of their land. Jake Sklanka - Alaskan Guide Itinerary the hotel. Day 2 Today enjoy an orientation tour of the city including Anchorage Museum.
