You'll observe the behaviour of Torque Macaques and Purple Faced and Gray Langurs and learn all about valuable conservation work. The 'Dry' Zone Journey inland through beautiful, lush countryside to Dambulla. You'll visit ancient city ruins, climb to the top of Sigiriya Rock and enjoy an elephant back ride through the tropical woodland. Uda Walawe National Park Take an exciting jeep safari into Uda Walawe National Park. Herds of wild elephant are more numerous here than anywhere else in Sri Lanka. If you are really lucky you may also catch glimpses of macaques and larger monkeys, leopards, spotted deer and crocodiles. Tropical Coastline Wind down at the end of your adventure on this enchanting island with a relaxing stay in Tangalle, which looks out onto the shimmering Indian Ocean. It's one of Sri Lanka's most beautiful south coast locations. The observation work you will carry out at the Primate Research Camp will be used to enable the team to develop their wildlife awareness and conservation program within the local community in an effort to save the endangered Purple-Faced Langur.
