In season, you'll have the option to snorkel around the corals of Pigeon Island or take a boat and go in search of the blue whale (additional charge). Jeep Safari Minneriya National Park is an oasis in the Sri Lankan dry zone, making it an ideal place to spot wildlife. The Minneriya Tank acts as a watering hole for a host of birdlife, crocodiles, wild boars, water buffalo and herds of wild elephant. Lion Rock UNESCO World Heritage Site, Sigiriya Rock Fortress, stands proudly in the middle of the jungle. You'll have the chance to climb to the top to explore the remains of the royal citadel and witness spectacular views.
