Created for you Kenya We have created for you a range of independent experiences that you mix and match as you like, so you can create a personalised holiday, just for you and your family. For that real `out of Africa' experience, the great, open plains of Kenya stretch out and defy the imagination. Home to an incredible abundance of wild game, there are cheetah, leopard, zebra, antelope, elephant, giraffe, and magnificent prides of lions. The semi nomadic Masai people have walked across the earth for centuries here and we'd highly recommend you find out more about their way of life. Masai Mara: Masai community & Great Migration Visit the Masai Mara and experience the extraordinary Great Migration, the annual exodus of millions of zebra, Thomson's gazelle, and wildebeest crossing the river following waterholes. The best time to observe this phenomenon in Kenya is between September November. Your game drive safaris will also take you into wild bushland, where you'll track big game and wild cats, such as lions, cheetah, leopards. You'll also have the unique chance to meet the Masai community and learn about their way of life. We recommend you spend 3 - 5 days here. Lake Nakuru & Naivasha: Stunning landscapes and prolific wildlife The Lake Nakuru National Park is an important sanctuary for black and white rhinos and rothschild giraffes, and offers one of the best opportunities to see the elusive leopard in Kenya. There is a wonderful lookout point from the cliffs with views across Lake Nakuru, whose cinematic soda lake is shallow and very alkaline. It is best known for its pink flamingos, which often flock in their thousands creating a pink cloud across the lake. Lake Naivasha is a beautiful freshwater lake, fringed by thick papyrus. The lake stretches almost 13km, but the waters are shallow with an average depth of five metres. It is part of the Great Rift Valley with a wide diversity of birds and plenty of hippos to be seen. Both lakes are ideal for wildlife spotting by game drive and boat safari. We recommend you spend 3 - 4 days here. Famous Mombasa Beach Resort Lying on the coast of mainland Kenya is the well-known Mombasa Resort, a popular destination for its beaches. It's the perfect place to cool down after an active holiday with world-class hotels, diverse marine life and a friendly atmosphere. There is a tropical climate all year and lots of activities for all ages. Mombasa was ruled by the Portuguese, Arabs and British and you can feel these influences in the culture today. We recommend you spend 3 - 5 days here. Natural Lamu Island Glimmering in the Indian Ocean off the coast of Kenya is sleepy, timeless Lamu Island. With over a thousand years of history, the Swahili culture is a mix of East African, Omani, Yemeni, Indian, and even some Portuguese and Victorian influences. There are no cars on the island and donkeys remain the only means of transport. You'll soak up the laid back atmosphere and experience life in one of the few remaining old Swahili towns in East Africa. We recommend you spend 3 - 4 days here. 58 Speak to a Travel Consultant about what you'd like to do and they'll create an adventure just for you
