Egypt Extensions
Beyond the pyramids and the ancient wonders of Egypt lie epic deserts, cosmopolitan cities and the laid back delights of the Red Sea. So why not stay a little longer and experience life in the desert with an extension to Bahariya Oasis or enjoy sometime exploring Alexandria. Alexandria Extension
This extension explores the little bays and ancient port of Alexandria. Famous for the lighthouse of Alexandria, one of the seven wonders of the ancient world, it's the faded charm of grand squares and promise of sunken treasure that is so tempting today. With your transport, accommodation, and guide organised, you depart Cairo with free time upon arrival. Enjoy a guided tour of King Farouk's Palace, the macabre Catacombs and Qaitbay Citadel before visiting El Alamein, the site of one of the most important battles of WWII. Explore the army museum and commonwealth cemeteries. Add this 4 day extension to any of our Egypt adventures (excluding the Sinai trips). Bahariya Oasis & White Desert Extension
This extension takes you into deep into the Western Desert, a surreal wasteland of weird and wonderful rock formations, extreme emptiness and eerie silence. Journey from Cairo to Bahariya Oasis and enter the White Desert. Bahariya Oasis is surrounded by black hills made of quartzite and dolerite. Visit old mud-brick towns, swim in thermal spring pools and climb sand dunes. Then settle down to see the desert under the stars. Wildlife is plentiful, especially birds such as wheatears. Transfer back to Cairo, the `City of a Thousand Minarets'. Add this 5 day extension to any of our Egypt adventures. Red Sea Extension
Extend your stay for as long as you like on the Red Sea. The resort is a great place to unwind after a sand strewn adventure through Egypt. The Red Sea is hailed as a world class dive site. You can swim, relax by, snorkel or dive in the famously clear waters and uncover an underwater world full of exotic fish and colourful corals. The length of this extension is flexible and can be added to any of our Egypt adventures (excluding the Sinai trips).
