High up in the Alps Your base for the week is the alpine resort of Alpe d'Huez. During the winter this is a ski resort, but in summer there are a huge variety of activities for you to try up in the mountains. Mountain Walking We have left the week free for you to choose which activities you wish to do, but we're happy to make suggestions! Around Alpe d'Huez is Ecrins National Park, which is filled with hundreds of kilometres of walking routes. Cycling in the Alps Alpe d'Huez is one of the most famous stages on the Tour de France. While it may not be advisable to follow the whole Tour, you may choose to cycle the climb to the top of Alpe d'Heuz to get a feel for what it's like. The Choice is Yours We have left all days free to fill as you like. There are endless activities suitable for all ages on offer in this pocket of the French Alps.
