Trip Highlights
Walk with a Shepherd Portugal is a very rural country and
when you get out of the cities you will instantly see the difference. Spend the day with a shepherd walking through the fields and learn all about rural farming techniques. Wildlife & Bird Spotting Peneda Geres National Park was created in 1971 to protect the surrounding environment. On a wildlife walk, keep an eye out for the multitude of birds and wolf tracks. Horse Riding & Mountain Biking Peneda Geres is also a wonderful place for outdoor activities. During the week you can try horse riding or mountain biking through the forests. Historic Porto Porto is one of Portugal's most beautiful cities,full of iconic architecture, right on the banks of the Douro River. Visit the Porto wine cellars (adults can taste it!), and spend some free time wandering the city.
