Desert & Mountains Mount camels to ride over the sand dunes of the Sahara, sleeping overnight in Bedouin-style tents under clear, starry skies. You then have two days to discover the Atlas Mountains around Bou Trarar on foot. Ait Benhaddou The fortified village of Ait Benhaddou is a great picture spot. You might recognise its historic buildings from the big screen from movies including Gladiator. Essaouira With its laid back atmosphere, Essaouira is the perfect place to unwind. Shop for souvenirs, enjoy fresh seafood, walk on the beach or watch the fishermen bring in their catch. Is it suitable for my family? Minimum age: 7 years. A few long driving days are necessary to reach Morocco's spectacular highlights. Facilities in the Berber villages are basic so be prepared!
