Namibia is a wildlife haven in a dramatic desert landscape. You'll visit the best the country has to offer including the valuable conservation work at the Africat Foundation, the prolific game in world-famous Etosha, the relaxed coastal town of Swakopmund and the awe-inspiring red dunes of Sossusvlei.
Style of Travel
Transport & guides on your trip: You'll travel by private minibus or safari vehicle which have big windows ideal for game viewing and watching the passing scenery. The type of vehicle can vary depending on the group size but it will invariably have a pop top for game viewing. Your accommodation: Guesthouses (2 nights), bungalows/ chalets (6 nights), camping (4 nights). Tents are large dome tents with fitted mosquito nets and we provide mattresses. Campsites are normally well appointed with showers and toilets and most have access to a pool. Bungalows are usually two bedrooms with a shared bathroom. Dining out: Trip price includes: 12 breakfasts, 10 lunches & 9 dinners. Most meals are provided by your Group Leader and range from picnic-style lunches to succulent barbecues. Breakfasts are mainly continental with a selection of cereals.

Cheetahs & Etosha Wildlife
Heading north from Windhoek you'll stay at Africat, the premier conservation foundation for cheetahs and big cats to learn about their valuable work. Your safari starts in earnest as you explore Etosha National Park, famous for its large game concentrations and rhino population. You'll also explore the little-visited western section of the park for a truly unique safari experience.
Wild Country & Cats
On this trip we include a stay at the world-famous Africat Foundation allowing you to get close to endangered cheetahs and leopards. You will also get off the beaten track by experiencing the little-visited wilderness of western Etosha.
Swakopmund & Sossusvlei Dunes
Over the next few days you'll make your way south through the stunning desert landscapes of Damaraland and the rock engravings of Twyfelfontein. After the vast seal colony at Cape Cross you can relax and unwind in Swakopmund. The dunes of the Namib Desert are a magical natural wonder as red sand soars into blue skies an unforgettable way to end your trip.
Comfort Level
This trip is graded `easy' and is suitable for anyone in reasonable health. Any trip to Namibia requires a certain amount of driving on graded roads which can be hot and dusty. To get the best out of Etosha and Sossusvlei several early starts are necessary.
