Morocco's fascinating culture, landscapes and religion not only offer students an ability to expand their horizons ­ but it's also a great value destination. You'll travel into the geologically diverse Atlas Mountains, along the lush Draa Valley and out into the arid desert, stopping to meet the local Berber people along the way. from £619pp Also included: Tour leader with you at all times. All elements & meals 2 teachers go free. Based on 20 students. Suggested itinerary Day 1 Marrakech Fly to Marrakech and transfer to your hotel. After a short break, your Group Leader will take you to the famous Djemaa el Fna Square and then for dinner in a local restaurant meet your camel handlers and set off on a camel trek. Tonight you camp in the desert in Bedouin style tents. Day 4 Marrakech Drive back to Marrakech, visiting Ait Benhaddou Kasbah on the way - a wonderfully preserved, traditional Kasbah, used for films such as Gladiator. Day 5 Marrakech-Fly Home Enjoy a half day city tour in the morning. Fly home in the afternoon. Fact file This trip is considered easy- anyone in good health can take part. Desert camp conditions are rustic and there are few facilities at the overnight desert camp. No real physical activity is involved; but you can choose to walk alongside, instead of ride, your camel. Day 2 Day in the life of a Berber A short drive from Marrakech to the Atlas Mountains to visit a traditional Berber village. Learn how to prepare a tagine, take part in a Berber tea ceremony and learn about local agriculture and husbandry. After lunch, travel to Ouarzazate. Day 3 Zagora-Camel Trek To reach Zagora, you drive through the Draa Valley, a dramatic landscape of rich vegetation hugging the line of the river with desert landscape beyond.
