Samburu and Mt. Kenya Driving north
from Nairobi you reach the plains of Samburu. Elephant, buffalo, zebra and giraffe are easy to spot, while lion, cheetah and leopard prefer the cover of the bush. After your game drives in the Shaba reserve you head to Mt. Kenya, Africa's second highest peak. Here you will be able to walk the lower slopes and rainforest with a naturalist guide.
Rift Valley Lakes Lake Nakuru's soda-rich waters support a large population of flamingos; seeing
them stretching across the landscape in a shimmering pink haze is an impressive sight. The surrounding bush is home to rhino and you might be lucky with a sighting. Further south you visit Lake Elementaita and the picturesque Lake Naivasha which abounds with bird life.
Masai Mara From the escarpment you'll descend into the Great Rift Valley to the rolling grasslands
of the Masai Mara reserve. Almost every indigenous wildlife species can be found here including vast numbers of herbivores, which attract countless predators. The highlight of your stay is a fascinating walk into the bush with proud Masai guides, to spend a night at a bush camp an unmissable safari experience.
