The Call of The Lemur
extravaganza begins in Perinet's lush forests which burst with endemic orchids and palms. Hearing the eerie cry of the indri, largest of all lemurs, resonating through the forest is for many their most lasting memory of Madagascar.
Exploring National Parks
The
mountains and lush rainforest of Ranomafana NP are best known for the bamboo lemurs; golden, greater and lesser species all reside here. Isalo NP with its bizarre sandstone landscape of canyons, rocky pillars and wind-sculpted formations is a great habitat in which to learn about Madagascar's endemic flora.
Lemurs and Chameleons
In the south the mix of spiny and gallery forests in Berenty are
home to Madagascar's foremost lemur reserve. You'll spot ring-tailed lemurs, brown lemurs and the incredible dancing Verreaux's sifakas from gentle walking trails. But remember it's not just about those lemurs! You'll also encounter colourful chameleons and many beautiful birds.
