Day 10/11 Monteverde In Monteverde you walk trails in the cloudforest, home to quetzals and hummingbirds. Day 12/13 Manuel Antonio The perfect end to your trip can be found at Manuel Antonio National Park. Combining beach and forest, it's a perfect place to explore or relax. Day 14 San Jose To San Jose for your final night in Costa Rica. Day 15/16 Overnight flight home. Rafting down the Pacuare River and into the rainforest provides great excitement. You'll visit one of the most beautiful beaches in Costa Rica - complete with a fringe of palm trees. A series of walking trails through the rainforest provides an opportunity to view and learn about the flora and fauna. Day 7/8 Tortuguero You'll navigate the waterways of Tortuguero to your riverbank lodge set amidst lush rainforest. From here you will go in search of wildife. Manoeuvring our small boats the guide brought us close to caiman, turtles and many different species of birds. We watched above our heads as a troop of capuchins launched themselves from tree to tree. Elsewhere in Costa Rica we saw toucans, macaws, hummingbirds, sloths and many beautiful butterflies including the iridescent blue morphos.
