Hispanic ruins of Teotihuacan, former capital of the Nahua empire - a scene of great archaeological interest. Day 3/4 Oaxaca This morning you drive to Oaxaca and visit the ruins of Monte Alban, before a tour of this fascinating city. Day 5/6 Chiapas Into the Maya heartland of Chiapas. The stunning views of Sumidero Canyon and the indigenous culture of San Cristobal de las Casas are highlights of this great journey. Day 7/8 Palenque Continuing through the jungle you reach the incredible ruins of Palenque.

From here you visit Chichen Itza, the largest and most important of Mexico's archaeological sites. Day 12/13 Tulum Finally you have the chance to relax on one of Mexico's beautiful beaches. Snorkel in a cenote, an underground river, or explore the beachside ruins of Tulum. Day 14/15 Fly home.
